This Amazing SpaceX Rocket Timelapse Shows Why People Thought They Saw a UFO

Photographer Jesse Watson took this jaw-dropping timelapse of the recent December 22 nd SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base( as seen from Yuma, Arizona ).

On Vimeo, Watson explains:

I scouted four places that had foregrounds to add depth to the imagery and was uniquely inspiring to my hometown. Place choices were between a favorite local hiking mountain, the Imperial Sand Dune, or a small mound that resides in the historical downtown field overlooking the city. I purposed up choosing the location that overlooked the city, partly because it was the easiest to access with all of my time-lapse gear. I utilized The Photographera

s Ephemeris and Google Maps to assist scout and initial line up.

I objective up hitting 2452 images and culled that down to 1315 images for the final programme edited in Adobe After Result and Adobe Premiere Pro.

You can read more about the shoot, the equipment used and current challenges faced on Jesse’s write-up on Vimeo. For more check out his is currently working on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
